Trippin'
Finally took the dreaded Pack Test. The last mile when everyone was screaming at me sucked. I was dead last, course I'm also 15 years older than most of the people who took it. At least I passed. Now if only they'd throw some fire work our way. Had some incredible thunder storms here. Jared's a little fearful of them. Lightning was hitting the street outside our barracks on Tuesday night. Found another quasi-okay site for pics of Colorado. None of them show the State Bird, the mosquito: http://lamar.colostate.edu/~nhi/colorado_pictures.htm I've inhaled and ingested so much Bug-Off/DEET this last week, I'll probably grow a third hand outta the middle of my neck. :) This last week was unbelievably easy. Mostly we did training in Grand Junction, dicked around and wasted a ton of government money and time driving hither and yon in the 2002 Ford crewcab (read: city bus). I'm now licensed to drive the Queen Mary. If all goes to plan, should be spending my birthday and the 4th of July in Gallup, New Mexico with my buddy, Marky-Marcus and the Funky Vegan Bunch. They'll be Indian sweats and the air will be full of pachouli to be sure. Hope the monsoon season in New Mex and AZ is over by the time I hit the trail south. Weee!!! -- Mz M.
